The Board of Trustees is elected by parents every three years and are responsible for the governance of the kura. The present rōpū kaitiaki/board consists of representatives of the Whānau Whānui, staff, students and Ngāti Toa Rangatira representatives, it also includes the Tumuaki. This group meet twice a term to discuss and make decisions about the work of the Kura. We notify Whānau Whānui of these dates through the kura pānui. Meetings are open to all parents and you are welcome to attend.
One of the Board's responsibilities is to develop (through the Tumuaki and kaimahi) policies regarding a variety of matters e.g. homework, sunshade, PE, curriculum etc. As they are developed copies will be made available for your information and feedback. If you have anything you wish to discuss with a member of Te Rōpū Kaitiaki you can contact the Co-Chairs - Michelle Hippolite or Karepa Wall on kaitiaki@kura-porirua.school.nz
Board members are available to talk to whānau. The following email address will go directly to all members of the Board of Trustees - kaitiaki@kura-porirua.school.nz
